Day 5: Mystery Box Competition Day!

This summer, kids can explore regional flavors from all across the United States without ever asking “are we there yet?” Budding chefs will enjoy five fun-filled days of hands-on cooking—from West Coast shrimp tacos to Southern peach cobbler. In our final class, kids get a chance to show off all the skills they’ve learned with a friendly Mystery Box team competition. Designed for ages 8-12, our all-new American Road Trip Kids’ Series will boost your little chef’s kitchen competence and confidence.

Classes run about two hours each and last for five consecutive days. Young chefs will enjoy generous samples of each delicious dish and take home a packet of recipes and a Culinary Village apron. Share your love of cooking and boost your child’s confidence in the kitchen with a culinary experience they’ll never forget.

*Please note: This series is only available as a five-day series. No single day enrollments.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn’t about recipes—it’s about techniques. In our classes your child works together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
Your child will work with other students in groups of 4
Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
Students will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
Please have children wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
Your child will enjoy a generous taste of every dish
All class participants receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases good for the duration of the camp

Our recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc.

If you have a food allergy, please contact your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.

Reservation and Payment Policy:

Reservations require full payment OR deposit paid in advance as well as completion of our registration form. Payment can be made by check, cash or credit card by phone or in person at our facility. We do not offer on-line payment options at this time. Deposits are applied to the full balance. All balances must be paid in full ONE WEEK prior to the scheduled Class date in order to retain the space. No exceptions.

Reminders will be provided, but note that credit cards requested to be held on file will be charged one week prior to the class date to ensure your child’s space is retained. Alternative payment methods may be honored by parent-request but full balances must be paid prior to the deadline to retain space. Declined credit card payments will result in the child’s removal from the list and the space will be offered to those on the waitlist, deposits will be transferrable as credit for future programs. Any returned checks will result in the child’s removal from the list and the space will be offered to those on the waitlist, deposits will be forfeited to cover associated costs and returned check fees. Thank you for your understanding as we maintain a streamlined process and provide our best service to you!

Cancellation Policy:
3-day (excluding weekends) notice of absence or cancellation is eligible for partial refund. 30% of fees will be retained to cover supply and administrative costs associated with your reservation. Advance notice, greater than 3-days prior to the event, is eligible for full credit transfer to use in other programs based on availability. Direct refunds are not offered.
